Katherine Heigl has revealed that she grew up in a white bubble and how this experience impacted the way she raised her adopted multiracial children. She revealed in an interview recent interview that, with regards to skin color the issue isn't that important. However, after talking to her adopted sister in South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. Meg was asked whether the way she was treated differed while they were together with their parents, and the time they were on their own. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" It made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to Parents. She became enraged, and she decided to channel her anger into help her adopted daughters. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black in 2012.
