Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first amateur appearance at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her via unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the loss with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the bout in the first round by TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: Aspen won the next match against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen used her superior wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows or punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd was unable to reach her weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC21 was her last fight for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound techniques which resulted in the TKO 2nd round win. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd won the fight in the first round and was awarded the performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was her first fight that she had in any major capacity. Ladd, who won the unanimous decision after an intense back and forth battle among the pair of fighters, received an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. The third time she fought on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
